Another successful Shorty Awards is in the books and we are so glad the winners love their awards. This year’s award recipients had the honor of taking home the newly designed whale tail. The 2017 Shorty Award design features the traditional whale tail design, but instead of being made from only clear crystal, this year’s awards have a pop of color. The 9th Annual Shorty Awards feature a teal crystal whale tail and a clear crystal base. Each recipient's name was painted on with teal paint to help them stand out.
The journey from our manufacturing facilities in Tampa, Florida to New York City is a long haul. To make sure the awards got to the show safely, each one was shipped in a custom designed box. The black box features the Shorty Awards logo on the front. The inside is lined in blue fabric and is designed to cushion the crystal award.
The colorful new awards made a splash at this year’s awards show. Christina, a producer for the Shorty Awards, was really excited about the new awards saying, "The trophies looked absolutely gorgeous at the ceremony [Sunday.]"

A few of things year's notable winners are Bill Nye, Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund, Orange is the New Black, and Mr. Peanut.
