Cancer- the disease affects everyone. With more than 150,000 new prostate cancer diagnoses and 27,000 deaths each year, finding a cure is everyone’s fight. That is why Levy Recognition (Levy) is doing our part to support the Mike Slive Foundation.
For those who do not know, Mike Slive is a former commissioner of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). For several years, Levy has enjoyed a growing relationship with the SEC. Working with Mike during his commissionership was a great honor. Mike was instrumental in Levy’s success in the Conference awards business and has been a supporter of Levy throughout his career. He originally helped us gain the awards business for the Great Midwest Conference in 1991, Conference USA in 1995, and then the SEC in 2002.
After fighting and surviving prostate cancer, Mike was inspired to form an organization to fund prostate cancer research. The Mike Slive Foundation for Prostate Cancer Research was founded in order to raise and secure funding for cutting-edge prostate cancer research.
Mike contacted Levy to inquire about purchasing lapel pins for the Foundation’s inaugural Allies in the Fight event. We were happy to help his foundation by designing the custom pins.
As a special surprise and our way of thanking Mike for his years of partnership with Levy, we are donating the $1,070 order of lapel pins to the Mike Slive Foundation. We hope everyone at the event enjoys them as much as we enjoyed creating them.
