Custom Championship Trophy
White Sox Home Run
Derby Trophy
With just over a month before the Chicago White Sox Alumni Home Run Derby, Levy Recognition was asked to create a fully custom metal championship trophy built to stand out in the winner’s case. The compressed timeline called for a faster production approach without sacrificing the weight, finish, or presence of the final award.
Half the Usual Time. No Compromise.
Fully custom metal trophies typically require three to four months from tooling to completion. With the July 11 event date approaching, Levy proposed an in-house 3D-printing and plating technique that replaced the mold-making stage with tooling only, significantly reducing setup time while retaining the look, weight, and perceived value of a traditionally cast metal piece.

From 3D-Printed Form to Plated Metal
The central baseball figure was 3D printed and plated before being assembled with the custom-fabricated backdrop and base. This process allowed the team to move quickly through production while maintaining the substantial, polished character expected from a custom championship trophy.
Built for the Winner’s Case
The final trophy captures a modern baseball player completing a home run swing, framed by a CNC-cut metal diamond etched with White Sox branding. A home-plate-shaped base carries two replaceable nameplates for the year and champion, allowing the award to be updated for future Alumni Home Run Derbies.
From first concept to final completion, the project was delivered in about a month and a half, compared with the typical three-to-six-month timeline. The trophy was presented to Leury Garcia, champion of the 2026 White Sox Alumni Home Run Derby, at Rate Field.
